In mathematics, the order of operations dictates the sequence in which mathematical expressions are evaluated.
PEMDAS: Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication and Division (from left to right), Addition and Subtraction (from left to right). Commonly used in the United States.
BODMAS: Brackets, Orders (Exponents), Division and Multiplication (from left to right), Addition and Subtraction (from left to right). Commonly used in the United Kingdom, India, and other Commonwealth countries.
MDAS: Multiplication and Division (from left to right), Addition and Subtraction (from left to right). This is a simplified version often used in elementary math.
BEDMAS: Brackets, Exponents, Division and Multiplication (from left to right), Addition and Subtraction (from left to right). Another variation used in Canada.
GEMDAS: Grouping Symbols (including parentheses and brackets), Exponents, Multiplication and Division (from left to right), Addition and Subtraction (from left to right). Similar to PEMDAS but emphasizes grouping symbols.
PEDMAS: Parentheses, Exponents, Division and Multiplication (from left to right), Addition and Subtraction (from left to right). Similar to PEMDAS but swaps the order of division and multiplication.
BIDMAS: Brackets, Indices (Exponents), Division and Multiplication (from left to right), Addition and Subtraction (from left to right). Another variation used in some educational systems.
